Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) 2024 was held in Hangzhou, China on September 25-29, 2024. This SCEWC was attended by YBrs. Tuan Hj. Mohamad Zahri bin Hj. Samingon, Mayor of Petaling Jaya, Tuan TPr. Lee Lih Shyan, Director of the Development Planning Department and Puan Masitah binti Romlee, Assistant Director (Smart City), Development Planning Department.
The theme for the Smart City Expo World Congress 2024 in Hangzhou is “CONVERGE! Blooming our business in transitionâ€.
This SCEWC has received great support from various international organizations and institutions. In fact, it has also received a warm reception and widespread involvement with the participation of over 800 cities from 194 countries.
Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has successfully received an award for the 2024 Region Smart City Awards for the Best Project (X-SDI) Awards category. The goal of the award is to set a benchmark for Asian urban development by selecting and recognizing outstanding projects, companies and leaders.
