Petaling Jaya, 11 November 2024 - Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) recorded outstanding success by bagging two awards namely Gold Merit Award for Organizations and Presidential Award from Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH) in conjunction with the 42nd MSOSH Awards Ceremony taking place at Sunway Resort Hotel today. MBPJ leads the list of award recipients for the public sector.
This award recognises MBPJ's ongoing efforts in strengthening the safety and health aspects of occupational safety and health among its staff and the community in Petaling Jaya.
In the same ceremony, Tuan Hj. Mohamad Zahri Bin Hj. Samingon also received the President's Award (President Award) which was first introduced this year to recognize the outstanding leadership of the organization's leader in policy implementation and best practices in the aspect of occupational safety and health.
Awards Ceremony hosted by MSOSH, the largest organization that brings together members and practitioners of occupational safety and health in Malaysia has been officiated by YBhg. Tan Sri Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar, Secretary-General.
MBPJ continues to be committed in implementing and strengthening occupational safety and health initiatives through compliance and implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSHE) program.
