SMART CITY INDICATOR STANDARDS (MS ISO 37122)

On the 9th of July, Baseline Study Meeting for the implementation of for the implementation of the Smart City Indicator Standards (MS ISO 37122) was held at the Education Resources and Technology Department, Ministry of Education Malaysia (KPM) in Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. This meeting involved the Education and Economic City Indicator. Seven indicators of smart city were focused in the meeting. The agencies involved in this are, Ministry of Education (KPM), Ministry of Higher Education (KPT), Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM), ), Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN), Perbadanan Putrajaya, Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ), Ministry of Perumahan and Local Government of Malaysia (KPKT), PLANMalaysia, and, Department of Standards Malaysia (Jabatan Standard Malaysia).through this meeting, we’ve come to know a few smart initiatives in the education field such as, Digital Educaional Learning Initiative Malaysia (DELIMa), i-Learning, Digital Text Books, EduWebTV, Sumber Pendidikan Online Terancang (SPOT), and more. This initiative is believed to produce more digital talents.
