Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has prepared the Petaling Jaya Senior Citizens Tindakan Plan 2030 which contains 5 main core namely Health, Economy, Social & Safety, Education and Environment. This action plan will serve as a guide to MBPJ, Government Agencies, Corporate Sector, NGOs and Petaling Jaya Residents in implementing actions towards empowering senior citizens and providing an inclusive and prosperous environment in Petaling Jaya.
In line with the initiative, MBPJ intends to join the ‘WHO Global Network For Age-Friendly Cities and Communities’ to expand the network of cooperation and learning of good practices related to ‘Age-Friendly Cities’ with cities at the international level.
A joint discussion with World Health Organization (WHO) Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam and Singapore was held yesterday to seek information and clarification regarding the methods of participation in ‘WHO Global Network for Age-Friendly Cities and Communities’.
