Functionality Development Control Section
Responsible for ensuring that land and physical development plans in Petaling Jaya are implemented perfectly and economically in terms of economic, social and environmental aspects through the application and enforcement of the Town and Country Planning Act (Act 172) and the Road, Drainage and Building Act (Act 133).
Development Plan Section
Responsible for the preparation and monitoring of development plans such as the Structure Plan (RS), Local Plan (RT) and Special Area Plan (RKK) to improve the quality and urban design of Petaling Jaya including conducting research on current planning and development policy issues.
Planning Enforcement Section
The Division is responsible for the preparation and implementation of squatter-settlement action plans, unlicensed hawkers and illegal plants in accordance with the Selangor State Progress Policy 2005. In addition, this division is responsible for implementing special programs such as the Free Gazette Program.
Information System & Management Section
Responsible for preparing and manage information related to planning and development in Petaling Jaya through the implementation of the PJGIS Project (Petaling Jaya Geographical Information System) and publication of reports, bulletins, and pamphlets for use and reference of Council departments, external agencies and individuals. Implementing Petaling Jaya City Poverty Eradication Program.
Sustainable Development Section
Unit Local Agenda 21 pj
This unit is responsible for coordinating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of Local Agenda 21 Petaling Jaya through awareness, publicity and training programs for community development and sustainable Petaling Jaya development. The Division also acts as secretariat of the Local Agenda 21 Committee of Petaling Jaya.
Safe City Unit
This unit is responsible for implementing the Safe City Program based on the 23 criminal prevention measures outlined. The unit also acts as a drafting of action plans, information, and current developments related to the programs that have been implemented.
Business Development Section
Responsible for Managing the Small and Medium Business Development Sub-Committee Meeting and report status to the Sustainable Development Committee. Organize meetings of the Subcommittee on the Development of International Relations and make status reports to the Sustainable Development Committee. Establishing formal relationships and collaboration and promoting Petaling Jaya city to international cities through Sister City and Friendly City initiatives
Administration Section
This section is responsible for managing the administrative and personal affairs of departmental staff.
