MBPJ REPRESENTING MALAYSIA TO ASEAN +3 REGIONAL LEARNING CITIES CONFERENCE

Mr. Ismathinoon bin Hj. Abd Rahman, Director of the Building Control Department of Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has represented Malaysia to fulfill the invitation from the UNESCO National Commission Malaysia (SKUM) to the ASEAN +3 Regional Learning Cities Conference.
The conference, which took place for two (2) days in Bangkok, Thailand, gathered as many as 200 participants comprised of representatives of Southeast Asian countries including Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, Vietnam as well as three other countries namely China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea.
Delegates sharing experiences, knowledge and innovative initiatives to promote lifelong learning and achieve sustainable development goals under Education Agenda 2030. In addition, it also serves as a platform for regional cooperation and creates a sustainable foundation in dialogue cooperation to promote lifelong learning within UNESCO learning cities in Southeast Asian and Plus 3 countries (China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea).
