Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) Received 2 Awards in Conjunction to World Urban Planning Day 2022

On the 8th of November, in conjunction to the World Urban Planning Day, a celebration ceremony has taken place in Marriot Hotel, Putrajaya. The Ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Datuk M Noor Azman bin Taib, Secretary General of the Ministry of Perumahan and Local Government. During this ceremony, awards were given to cities for their remarkable achievements.

Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has received the first place in the SDG11 Best Achievement category (Sustainable Cities and Communities) through achievement in the Murninets indicator City category and Sustainable City 2022. Second Place for Kategori of Local Authorities at City-level. The awards were received by The Mayor of Petaling Jaya, Tuan Mohamad Azhan bin Amir accompanied by TPr. Hjh. Sharipah Marhaini Binti Syed Ali, Deputy Mayor.  

Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has received the first place in the SDG11 Best Achievement category (Sustainable Cities and Communities) through achievement in the Murninets indicator City category and Sustainable City 2022. Sharipah Marhaini Binti Syed Ali, Deputy Mayor. 

This Sustainable City Marking is based on MURNInets Sustainable City Measurement which is evaluated based on 6 major Dimensions; Competitive Economy, Quality of Environment, Prosperous Community, Optimal Gunatanah and Original Source, Efficient Infrastructure and Transport, and, Effective Management.
