Minister of Perumahan and Local Government, YB Tuan Nga Kor Ming (YB KM) has officiated the National Level World City Planning Day (HPBS) Celebration Ceremony at Everly Hotel, Putrajaya this morning.
HPBS 2024 themed “Semua Efforts to Build Sustainable and Smart Cities #ForTheDemiPertiwi” to reflect the government's commitment in achieving the Sustainable Development agenda and meeting the sustainable development goals or Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 which have been launched since 2015 with 192 other members.
HPBS Celebration 2024 is a joint organization between the Ministry of Perumahan and Local Government (KPKT) through the Department of Town and Country Planning (PLANMalaysia), Planners Organization Malaysia (MIP), Performance Growth Coordination Unit (PACU), Prime Minister's Department (JPM), Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM), Putrajaya Corporation (PPJ) and City Planning Board Malaysia (LPBM).
YB KM has presented the Malaysia Urban Planning Awards (MUPA) 2024 awards to 21 recipients of the Sustainable City Award 2024 , 20 recipients of the Smart City Rating Award 2024 and 10 recipients of the Best Planning Practice Award 2024 .
MUPA is a platform of recognition and appreciation to all parties including government, private, non-governmental entities (NGOs), local leaders and local communities in developing environment either at the neighbourhood or municipal level that is more viable and inclusive in the future.
