The second day of the Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK) Regulatory Visit to the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) started with a visit to the 'Child Friendly Bus Stop' Bus Stop at SMK Assunta. The delegation was briefed on the implementation of the Petaling Jaya child-friendly city initiative by Mrs. Nazihah binti Jaafar, Assistant Director of the Development Planning Department.
Visit continues to MBPJ Urban Agriculture Research & Learning Innovation Center, Kelana Jaya where Mr. Yan Neuhoff from Green Street Farms together with Mrs. LAr. Nurbaiti binti Abd. Wahab, Senior Assistant Director MBPJ Landscape Department delivered a briefing session and operated a 'farm tour'.
The delegation was then taken to PJ ECO Recycling PLAZA . Mr. TPr. Zain Azly bin Abdul Rahman, Director of the Solid Waste Management Department And Public Cleaning accompanied and led the delegation to inspect the areas around the said recycling center. PJ Eco Recycling Plaza is a one-stop learning centre for recycling and a delivery station to archive zero waste in Petaling Jaya.
Hopefully this visit will inspire the DBKK delegation to apply best practices in their management and duties in their respective agencies.
